I wanted to know if anyone had any idea where to get a grinding stone and logs for sandalwood. I'm not going to India anytime soon nor is anyone that I know. Any ideas?

Re: Sandalwood Stone
Sun, October 7, 2007 - 1:45 AMThe shop @ Bhaktivedanta Manor sells the stones and sandalwood, quite reasonably priced too I'd say, the shop also does mail order: www.krishnatemple.com/shop/index.html. the items are not available online, but if you telephone / email and ask for Acharyavan Prabhu, the shop manager, he should be able to help.

Mon, November 26, 2007 - 3:50 AMHare Krsna!
I got mine from www.kalimandir.org
It cost $40 and came with a stick (your choice of red or white sandal). I think according to the CC, red sandal is prohibited for Vaishnava worship, although I know it is used in some south Indian temples like Guruvayoor, for adorning Lord Krsna...
Incidentally, I have visited this Kali temple in Laguna Beach, right before visiting the Panchatattva mandir there. It's an interesting place, and the people there are very nice...
Hari Hari!

Re: Sandalwood Stone
Mon, November 26, 2007 - 3:51 AMOh one more thing, you can order additional sticks of sandal from that website also...and depending on their sizes, it ranges from $7-21 if I'm not mistaken... you can even call and order, or order through the website. Their staff are prompt and the orders are sent out in a timely fashion...
Hope this helps....
