Haribol,
I just wanted to share with you my findings that, almost all commercially produced pot plants have bone meal in the fertiliser. Hence it may not be suci to use them for altar decor. Floral arrangements are the best in my humble opinion.

Sat, August 29, 2009 - 8:36 AMYes and even the flowers you buy in the store.. you don't know how they have been grown or even who picked them and how.
My husband used to get upset when he would accidentally drop then flowers when trying to offer them.
One day I had a realization:
"you know, maybe Krisna doesn't want them because you don't even know were they came from - what if the guy who picks them used the toilet and didnt wash his hands? So maybe Krishna wants YOU to grow them." So then we always grew our own.
Flowers are the smile of Krishna.
Always best to make sure they are really nice :-)
