Haribol, wondering how everyone's Gauar Purnima went, i've posted pics of my deities in my first attempt at a homemade outfit in my gallery. I can't wait to see pics of everyone's celebrations, especially Manu's i really want to see the new outfit!
As well, does anyone know how they colour the water for the multicoloured abishek is it just the regular holi powders. I use chandan for yellow and gulal for pink but want to add more colours next year

Re: Gaura Purnima
Mon, March 5, 2007 - 5:28 AMHari bol,
From my experience, colour ususally comes from food stuffs: fruit juices: pomegranates, strawberrires, mango, kiwi. Spices: tumeric.
I know that at Bhaktivedanta Manor vegetable dyes ( those suitable for consumption) are used. Also I think ordinary food colouring but this was stopped due to the chemicals in them.
Garura Purnima was very nice here in Newcastle, simple, intimate, nice kirtans, nice katha, nice prasadam, purifying association.
